^ Got that one last year.

Another one bites the dust. :(
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

71's actually quite old for a rocker.
Yep, pretty much reached the life expectancy for someone born in the 40s, maybe even exceeded it...

I've always loved ELP - I know they went way OTT in their stage shows and not all their songs are brilliant (a few are utter crap I would love to forget) but at their best their musicianship was just jaw dropping - I still think Greg Lake has one of the best male voices in rock, I'm mean he has a really beautiful voice, and his guitar and bass playing are also fantastic (I love his guitar solo in The Sage), Carl Palmer comes close to Billy Cobham for drumming chops and Emerson was just so daring in his virtuosity and experimentation with the synth in particular. As a band they were one of the tightest despite rapid tempo changes and improvisations.

Very, very sad... RIP.

People are stirred, moved by the word.
Kneel at the shrine, deceived by the wine.
How was the earth conceived? Infinite space.
Is there such a place? You must believe in the human race.

Can you believe, God makes you breathe.
Why did he lose six million Jews?

Touched by the wings fears angel brings.
Sad winter storm, grey autumn dawn.
Who looks on life itself, who lights your way?
Only you can say. How can you just obey?

Don't need the word, now that you've heard.
Don't be afraid: man is man made.
And when the hour comes, don't turn away.
Face the light of day, and do it your way.
It's the only way.

At Navy boot camp 1972, all of my company chipped in to buy a stereo system.
At the commissary, I found Pictures at an Exhibition..it didn't make me the most popular person
when it was my turn to pick music, but I didn't give a f**k.

I just heard this a little bit ago from my wife. He was one of my biggest influences; not that I could hold a candle to him in the talent department, but it gave me something to strive for. My condolences to his family.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

Many things made watching that band great but I have to agree their timing was astounding.
- I painted my Fender bass black to emulate Lake. :D
- I saw them many times...i`m sure of it! I always fought to get a good position in front of Greg Lake. Keith was omnipresent.

So now i`ll just 'Hang on to a Dream' what can I do?
