I've used the microKey 25 and QuNexus, but settled down with the iRig Keys. The action is reasonably good for it's size, as well as the pitch/mod wheel and knob. The built quality is good and very easy to install and operate.

No, you're not asking too much. I've been looking for a setup like that as well and finally happy with my current setup. It's one of the most portable 37 keys mini keyboard and easy to remove when not in use.

I dare you not to use Windows, or any other OS then. Or anything really.

Korg Triton Taktile 25 is great. I just bought one 2md hand for very little money mainly to get the Triton engine. A fair bit of faders as well. It's a 2 octave keyboard (not mini) and the keybed feels surprisingly good. You get the Korg Legacy pack and Lounge Lizard Session, Strum Session and Ultra Analog session included as well as a discount coupon on Ableton products. A bunch of Ipad stuff is included as well.

Quite a deal! :-)

Actually, I don't use Windows much at all. My main work computers were all Linux Debian since 1998. I used to have a gaming machine with windoze until 2009. But between Wine and VM, there was no need for that either especially since I got addicted to Minecraft, which runs on Linux "natively".
