I would like to stay on 10.9, but I have 10.9.3.

Is there a way to get 10.9.5? Or do I have to do the full point update to 10.10?
Here's 10.9.5 combo update and as far as I know, you can't update to 10.10 anymore (if you don't have it in your account, purchased tab), just latest from App Store.

Thanks so much!

(Actually I thought the latest was 10.10 ... 10.11 as I just found out -- I'm so out of the loop) :)

Still investigating...

In the Mac AppStore (in France), on the page related to Logic Pro X, there is something special...
-- in the right column of the page, it is effectively written OS X 10.10, BUT...
-- in the full text, when you "open" the full texts paragraphs, at the bottom of the text, in the "technical specifications" paragraph, it is written OS X 10.9.5...

Can you verify you have the same in your US or Britain Mac AppStore ?...
It's important to check this point directly from the Apple's fellows...

Waiting for more infos...

10.10 requirement everywhere. Perhaps a cache thing not flushed or something.

full list..

so many fixes and new retina plugins too. I am impressed apple seem so committed to Logic.

The big one for me, in that list under automation it says:
"Automation for plug-in parameters now reliably chases when sample accurate automation is on"

So if this is fixed and automation timing is solid once and for all (the problem that apparently i was imagining LOL), that pretty much endd my internal daw debate once and for all. All this time into learning PT lol. Oh well!
Holy shit! That is a serious list of improvements. They are very committed to Logic :)

I was hoping for updated interfaces for Sculpture, EXS sampler and the Designer fx but doesn't seem so - which plugin interfaces have been updated?

Over on Gearslutz, Jeff Cross addressed this issue directly, asking for the details of what's actually going on with TheoM's concern. For those who do not know, Jeff is responsible for Music Creation Marketing at Apple, and Logic is one of the main apps that falls under this umbrella, listed first:

It would appear that such issues are being taken rather seriously in Cupertino in 2016.

Thanks. Good to get info direct from Apple.

Drum Designer is unbelievably buggy.

Clear cells, sound is still there. Add sounds to cells, different sound play. :tu:

Never understood the love for Logic. Like the rest of Apple's software, it's just not very good.

There's no daw i know of that can automate actual latent plugins in time without being offset by their latency, but the problem with logic on track inserts is that it throws all OTHER, even zero latency fx, out of time if they are on the same track as the latent effects, therefore rendering automation timing and using any latent plugins in logic and expecting tight automation, completely impossible. This makes logic useless to me as a daw unfortunately since i use uad.
Just checking: have you enabled sample accurate automation for "Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-In Parameters" in Preferences->audio->general? I find it totally absurd that it isn't selected by default.
