There have been a few times that I've used a kit from the Acoustic Drums eRom, and just wanted to switch the snare or the hats or something... but without the hassle of loading two kits and doing some weird MIDI routing malarky in Cubase. Combi kits are an awesome idea!

These drums do sound fantastic. For sure Eh?
Howver I notice that the full production versions in ST2 are very heavy on my cpu. I am running a P4 2.4 GHZ with 1 Gig RDRAM.

That's why there are the lighter versions too. Of course one of the best ways to make it less CPU intensive is to take off the reverbs per channel and run a global reverb in your host.Beardedone wrote:These drums do sound fantastic. For sure Eh?

Hey - I just realised... With a combi kit, the SampleTank effects would only effect a particular part of the kit - Kick, snare, hats, whatever... Which means it'll be possible to apply different processing to each kit element, and then rout all the parts to a single output and use VST plugins for overall compression, reverb, etc...

Group buys means that it takes weeks longer than usual.
Not speaking just about your comment bithead but some comments to this effect in general:
I am thinking of not doing any more group buys because it isn't good to have people going around saying they had to wait 3 weeks. It gives off a bad impression because regular orders usually go out the same or next day. This was totally different in many ways.
Either that or we'll have to put a big disclaimer on the order: EXPECT 3 WEEKS DELIVERY - are you sure? - are you really sure? Ok. Then here it is for this wonderful price.
