count me as another fan-boi of Z+2. I can get it very fat and rich with little or no effort
with regard to patches for free, check out PatchArena : http://patcharena.com/tag/z3ta/
- as Slaapstad mentions above; the Arp collection within it is also priceless

Correct me if I'm wrong. Z3ta has few arp patterns. Most of the patterns are sequences. Compare that with the Arpeggiator in FM8. As I know, the arpeggio is a chord played note after another in a specific order (pattern). Z3ta can only play few arpeggio patterns. I don't have Z3ta now installed so it's from my memory.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Regarding the developer, he did many synths as well. Take a read here:

This thread made me revisit my Z3ta. Hell, it does sound good. It has this kind of raw grittiness I love about my Virus and miss in the plugins. I've added some sounds from Z3ta into a busy mix with fat acid lines from Virus and it cuts through the mix really well.
Also I recently noted that I prefer Sylenth over Spire for some kinds of sounds. The distortion in Sylenth mostly sounds like crap but i replace it with Saturn. On the other hand, the filters and the oscillators sound very alive and fat, ald the unison is really sweet.
There is really some magic in these old plugins. Massive is another gem, neither Serum nor Icarus can touch its raw, agressive sound.

If anybody is interested, I did a library for Z3ta+2 a while back.

Z3TAa has definitely a nice supersaw, that's for sure. Btw, do you mean version 1 or 2?recursive one wrote:This thread made me revisit my Z3ta. Hell, it does sound good. V. 2. Yes, supersaws are nice, but distorted mid-basses even more so.chk071 wrote: Z3TAa has definitely a nice supersaw, that's for sure. Btw, do you mean version 1 or 2?

Thanks. That's pretty much what I do with all my libraries. Not really an EDM guy having grown up in the 60s.SWallace wrote:Nice vintage sounds dude!wagtunes wrote:Wrong linkSlaapstadseun wrote:Not found, error 404 when you click on http://wagsrfm.com/z3ta2wagtunes wrote:If anybody is interested, I did a library for Z3ta+2 a while back.

cakewalk synths have always been pretty boring. if you want some great sounds immediately... get almost any and all sound sets for any synth leap into the void does. his bazille sets are frickin awesome. you'll never get that outta zeta2 or rapture. his sets for massive and absynth are also stellar. short of that, falcon and uvi falcon expansions are also stellar. soniccouture also has some way cool sounds for kontakt. and of course omnisphere 2 is full of crazy sound design. cakewalk's synths are dull & toy-like comparitvely. tons more inspiring sounds out there.
