Actually, considering Quincy's asking price, if all you have to do is pay $30 to get the lifetime updates, it's still a great deal. FL Studio is already a great product, and it keeps getting better. It's well worth it even without the updates, but updates are always fun.

well, he said there would be lifetime updates, so i would expect him to lower the price 30 bucks if there wasnt and i had to pay for it, but i have no reason to believe hes lying to me..

I don't know what's in store for v5.0, but if you check their site under "feature list/history" you'll see the things they've added over the years. Every major release (v2.0, 3.0, 4.0) has added some really nice functions like piano roll, mixer, wave traveller, vocoder, etc. I don't expect v5.0 to be much different.Jaeson_Merrill wrote:Hi!

They certainly do add good stuff with each release. However, recent releases have been farther apart. Since the last freebie was Rewire support, I didn't benefit too much... Completely doesn't matter though. It's a great program already.
EDIT
Ooooh, I take it back... I DID benefit from the last verison! Auto and repeat modes were added to the arpegiator.
Here's the History link mentioned in that prior post:

I haven't seen it mentioned but perhaps IL will give you a deal like they do for box version customers. The box version comes with one free update. You can buy just the lifetime update for it though. Perhaps they will sell you the update as well. Worth a shot anyhow.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I think you should join that offer. Really: FL Studio XXL is really a worthy deal.
And it is cheap compared to hosts like cubase or sonar. And it is lot of fun. I like to work with it and I didn't found something I can't do up to now...
And looking into future: they don't seem to stop working. A drum tool is in development (I've heard that) and I think some enveloping issues are going to be implemented until autumn...
Greetings

I thought Quincy stated that they had given him permission? Anyway, if you can get that part straightened out, FLstudio is very much worth the price he's asking.Jaeson_Merrill wrote:FL doesnt allow licsence transfer,

I hope i didnt make a big deal out of it...
i just wanted to make sure.

I've transfered my license 1 month ago after they had given me the permission... (I asked by email) ???Jaeson_Merrill wrote:FL doesnt allow licsence transfer,

But they said in the mail, they usually don't do that.
I don't know why they allow some to transfer and not others.

They've bloody shafted me and Jason. Some twat who works for imageline replied to my support request saying it was fine, and now i've had an email from someone higher up telling me i shouldn't be selling it.Ixox wrote:I've transfered my license 1 month ago after they had given me the permission... Looks like all the horror stories about imageline's shite support are true. Now i feel like an idiot for messing jason about, despite fully believing that i was allowed to sell this legally, as i had been told.
Imageline need a kick up the arse to sort out their transfer policy. Either allow it or don't, most companies seem to manage.
