To set the buffer up do this:
Inside Cubase (you can do it out, too)

Go to Devices
Then Devices Config.
The VST Multitrack
There you will see the ASIO info
Go to Controls Pannel there you will find where to increase the buffer size

according to the manual, they don't call it buffer,
instead check your latency setting..You should be able to access the panel in the task bar.

*IF* it'll pop up. It doesn't work on my SX.

I just did a complete pc format. Nothing special. After a week of use the crackles came. Minutes ago I just checked the song, when I pressed stop, it didn't want to stop, cubase crashed and auto reset the hole sys/
There is NO setting to change buffer on the panel. Sorry,
Niels

the lower the latency the greater chance for crackles! (more cpu usage)

no he said very low, low, or high.
you would be taking it UP from very low Sir Gary

I think the problem is solved, the only thing is that I find my pc rather slow for such a heavy machine, especially shutting down. But I recently defragged and a pagefile defregmenter....
