Wow, less than 24 hours and tracks are being posted. I can't even figure out what all the buttons do yet :dog:
This one seems to be a lot more stable for me so far, though I miss the assignment simplicity of Helm every time I want to attach anything.

Maybe a kind person or two could explain the 3 buttons at the bottom of the LFOs Restart, Source and Source.
Restart I somewhat understand but I don't quite get the difference of what the 4 options gate, sync, single and random do.
Is gate or sync = to what triggered was in Helm?
Single really confuses me. To me it would be a single iteration of the LFO. So for example while using the saw up shape it would function more like a ramp and the attached parameter would stay at the level of the end of the shape during any sustain. But it doesn't. It keeps repeating like a saw pretty much similar to either gate or sync.
What random is doing I am not sure of either. I don't know if it is triggering the shape in a random spot, using a random shape or just doing other random things.
The two Source buttons I have no clue on.

The Matrix I kind of understand, if I only set a single source to a target in the two bottom sections. I don't get what the second source is for or how it effects source 1. I watched several videos about this synth and best I can up with is source 1 is multiplied by source 2, but how do you multiply a LFO by an ADSR and what is the intended function? :(

Yeah, it's quite cool. :) Tyrell is really versatile with all these features.

Re: kicks:

2 instances. One sine wave pitched down with an envelope. Decay amount on envelope depending on tight kick vs boomy 808 style. Second instance noise with a short filter envelope decay but not too bright. Just trying to emulate the beater. Mix to taste. Compress a little add a little saturation then EQ. I like to high pass anywhere from 60 to 90is with a the Q dialed in enough so it emphesises that range. Trial and error the decay times and body vs beater instances depending on the type you are going for.

Edit: On phone. Ignore spelling

Also...
Listening to Kettel. Never inderstood why he didn't get bigger. So good.

Hey, another u-he synth. Yeah, I wonder, if this one gets me going, but I already have a funny feeling. I can't for the life of me tell why I have such trouble with his sound. It's like it's somehow out of my wheelhouse. Maybe I'll just ignore my own preferences and just see what happens?!
I gave it a quick check up and immediately noticed that you can't have a hard attack on a sound with velocity on volume that wouldn't click or rather "knack" in the beginning. It all, otherwise, sounds incredibly round or phat as you might say, but this somehow suffocates me for some reason.
I shouldn't judge too soon, but Podolski was a real nightmare for me musically. I can only hope this will be different.

Don't you have this? I have the 2015 version.

I programmed this thing up real quick, if you click on it, you can enter words to say, then it just sticks to the MIDI notes you give it, like this:

Hmm. Nope, no profanity filter. Spanish sounds like English. German seems right. Korean seems like cat tongue. I guess it only supports a few...

Oh man, little hint:
- if anyone of you still has Version 2 installed, make sure you get rid of it first! In some DAWs it doesn't matter which version you think you load up, it will start the old one.

blige, i might even have a go this time, a synth i have used ( a few times)... now , just need to find a little self-discipline...

Restart:

- sync: LFOs are always sync'd to host
- gate: LFOs starts with key press
- single: like gate but all voices are linked (kind of global LFO)
- random: LFO starts with random phase

Rate-Mod + Source:

Level and source of LFO-Rate modulation.

Depth-Mod + Source:

Level and source of LFO-Amount modulation.

Also note that vibrato is fix-linked to LFO1.

For kind of one-shot LFO you can modulate the LFO2 depth by a slow running square-LFO1. Example attached.

Nice change to brush up your German.
The manual for Tyrell N6, auf Deutsch!

Na also, funktioniert doch!

Honestly, if you take a deep breath and carefully look at the GUI, you can really see everything you need to know, if you know something about synth programming. It's very, very self-explanatory, honestly.

I'm currently having some cautious- but noteworthy- fun making drums! :hyper:
...I have to say, it sounds really tight and juicy. It took me a few shakes to see the noise color dial on the upper far right, which I hadn't even noticed, if I wasn't playing with the Matrix down there and saw it as a target under "Tyrell", hehehe. Hmmmm, so much about self-explanatory?! But it is! :scared:

So, yeah, so far so good.
