Plugin looks awesome!
However, I don't think the guitar examples sound good at all. They are nowhere near something like S-Gear / Kazrog Thermionic or even some of the awesome free plugins available.
The drum mangling and other audio examples are awesome though! This definitely peaked my interest. Will have to demo it and see how it stacks up against FF Saturn or the D16 offerings.

To me it really sounds excellent - there's a bit of occassional hi-freq nastyness (e.g. at around 0:56) but I bet this is just a matter of adjustment - other that that I love what I hear.bmanic wrote: However, I don't think the guitar examples sound good at all. I'll have to demo it of course but to me all of the guitar tones are very unauthentic sounding.. almost as if they don't have proper dynamics or something. Reminds me a lot of the guitar sounds I got with the Image-Line waveshaper + EQ for cabinet modelling.
Especially the audio demos for metal tones on the website are really weak.. they may have been acceptable 5 or 6 years ago but today's tones are on a very different level.
.. but yeah, personally I wouldn't be purchasing this for guitar stuff anyhow. The drum examples were awesome!

I didn't listen to those - personally I have zero interest in high gain guitar sounds.
I am mainly interested in clean-to-crunchy ones... (Fender territory)

@bmanic: I guess it's a matter of taste for the choice of audio samples. You may actually be surprised when trying the demo next week, especially with an instrument in hands.

Please keep in mind that those guitar examples are all done without other instruments to give you the real sound of instrument as if it was recorded in the studio, in a mix situation with a band these sound very different. From my own experience as a guitar player and endorser since 30 years (Randall, Washburn, ESP, Engl, Roland, Fractal Audio, ...) this is the most dynamic sounding amp sim I've tried so far, very easy to obtain any sound you want and the dynamic response is much better then with impulse responses on most other plugins. Here is a link to a small video I did with the plugin in action when it was still in beta : https://www.facebook.com/hansvaneven/vi ... 992853056/

Here is another video showing a few clean and crunch factory presets on a funky guitar riff:

Sounds great - it would be nice to hear examples without the quack though - it's very pronounced with this strat...

Clean and breakup sounds pretty darn cool, but yeah, high gain is not in Thermionik territory at all...

Who cares about high-gain anyway?
(I better stop here - otherwise you'll consider again to report me

That's not to say that this isn't going to be an interesting or useful tool, but not for metal guitars just based on what I've heard so far. Compare that to some of the later Brainworx gear.
I did like the dum examples tho'.

I am not worried about that: you will probably change your mind when actually trying the plug-in... Just a few more days! Wait and see...

I already use S-gear, so I don't really need an amp sim, but could this be used to model distortion boxes. IMO if it can be used to model stomp boxes that would be really useful(there seems to be a lack of stompbox vsts).
