Firefox worked for me, but I am using the portable version of it

@Teksonik: Don't download that one. Do as I said above and it will be much simpler and less space used.

Yes, it needs CCC to authorize, but I think it's worth it. Very generous from Cakewalk. The offline authorization will work, in principle, but it's a hassle, IMO. Besides, CC isn´t launched automatically, it's like NI Native access or Arturia Software Center. I find it very convenient.

I downloaded the plugin from my Cakewalk account but does it need the Command Center installed to be authorized ? I refused to install the Command Center on my studio computer in the past as it was reported to mess up older authorizations like Sonar X3, Z3ta+2 and Rapture.

I've already got IK Multimedia's White 2A so don't really need this plugin bad enough to jump through too many hoops to install and authorize it.

@fmr, not really. You can activate it offline and you won't have to install Control Center. I've explained on the first page how to do it.

Teksonic, here I've explained how to activate it offline so you don't have to install it: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=471598#p6586845

There's only VST3, AAX and AU. No regular VST option.
Can anyone else confirm that before I download?

There is VST 2 included too, but it's installed in your default VSTPlugins folder, usually: C:\Program Files\Vstplugins but you can move it.

VST2 here. Unfortunately the installer doesn´t lets you choose the formats and their locations. But you can always point your DAW to the Cakewalk folder or copy the plugin manually to your VST path (that´s what I did).

My bad.

Looking in the manual, there's also regular VST for Windows. Apple master race only gets VST3.

Ok thanks I might give it a go on my studio computer just to see how it stacks up against the IK version.

Does it have an external sidechain function?

Quite a luxurious freeibe, less than 3 years old, and retails regularly at $99

A real breeze when you already have Command Center installed.

The plugin sounds very good :)

They did not seem aggressive enough in making that specific product known.
