Folks, yes... Version 4 is a huge step up - but the "Song Mode" still doesn't offer the rhythm (strum loop/pattern) that Astrosky is looking for. So he has to trigger that manually. And my post showed how...

I don't have the RGv3 manual at hand (only for v4, which has a different page placement of course), but look into the index and search for "Chord Map". This shows you the available chords that are recognized by the engine.

How to trigger them?
Via a regular MIDI Event of course.

You basically treat any of the modes like you'd treat the RG solo mode. Left hand triggers the chord and upper keyboard ranges (grey area from C5 and up) triggers the repetition (up/down strum, mutes, single strings, etc). Consult the manual - search term is "Bass & Pick Mode"

Anything else like "User chords" (which creates a setting for custom chords that can be triggered with the MIDI Keyboard), is bonus.

Start with the basics... go from there.

I'm not available for most of the day - so any further answers will have to wait until later in the evening.

I want to revive this for a moment and direct the OP to the following link:

RealGuitar 4 Audio Demo - Hey there Delilah (7zip, LZMA, ca 25MB)
File will be up until end of the year (probably) - then I'll flush my server again

This file includes two audio demos (processed), two screenshots of my settings (EQ->Compressor, RG4 GUI) and a MIDI file with both the chords and the custom bass/pick pattern.

- I did not touch the Humanize engine much (second audio demo)
- the Plectrum Position is at +1
- Alternate is at 2 (default)
- Bass EQ is at +3
- Fret Noise is at +3

I tried to get as close to the pattern presented in the Youtube video from page 1. But this shot demo (that I cobbled together in less than an hour start to finish - also thanks to Cubase's Chord Assistant), how the "Bass & Picking" feature of the RG engine works.

Please enjoy - and if you have further questions, just ask.
