Reaper needs customization if one really wants it, but it's not mandatory. If you only want to use the guitar recording and audio editing features, you only have to learn a few things, and it does them well without any personalization.

Also try Mixcraft it's more musician oriented too. Heck, even Studio One is a breeze for recording/editing.

Recording and editing audio is the lowest-level task of any DAW, all of them do it easily without any customisation. Even free audio editors do this, but why bother with a DAW if that's all you need? A digital multitrack recorder would be cheaper and more practical.

I heard people said Cubase wasn't the easiest DAW to learn, but I find the opposite. The workflow fits mine really well (I'm also a guitarist), and the LE version is included in most of Zoom's multieffect (pretty sure it also comes with your interface). You gotta try it if you haven't.

EDIT: Also, Sequel, Cubase's little brother. Seems it was MADE to be easy. Dunno how it goes as I've never used it, but it seems to fit your description

Thanks everyone. I played around with a few demos and ended up purchasing Studio One professional. It just seemed to be the most logical for me. I also purchased Bias Fx.

Now I just have to find time to be creative!

Live Lite/Intro are pretty decent value, considering you can get them as bundled software with a wide variety of hardware. If you end up getting a Launchpad, you can get Intro, which raises the track limit to 16.

Other than that, Studio One Prime is super nice for audio recording, but sadly there's no third party VST support until you shell out $300 for the Pro version.

Alternatively, you could pirate FL and have nobody take you seriously.

He said that, I know, he also mentioned that GarageBand have neat things he wants, just confirming that, some people are missing on (said some, not all, some people just don't have money, don't dig Apple's way, OS X and Logic and etc.) pretty amazing DAW just because they care more about some platform ideology or coming from gaming background and similar, still don't think I made mistake going for Logic in first place, but I'm not gamer or had computer before i started making music, bought first one just for that, so there's that.

He already bought a DAW anyways.
