I'm not that excited about the new skins, though I do get their "theme." They don't do the synth's integrity justice, in my opinion, of course. This is a 180 from Satyatune's typical work...

So.....satYatunes what happened ? I'm a huge fan of your work but these Hive skins are.....
Yes I get the whole "Pixel" concept of the soundset but.........
+1 I have the feeling the color choices were not made by satYatunes.....Bodhisan wrote:I'm not that excited about the new skins, though I do get their "theme." They don't do the synth's integrity justice, in my opinion, of course. This is a 180 from Satyatune's typical work...

I'd like it too if it weren't blue...and yellow....
It's not just how it looks in a screenshot but how it looks after a couple of hours of staring at it while making patches.
Not too sure whose idea the Raspberry and Cyan was but.........
I probably would have bought this soundset just to get the skins but these are not what I expected. Oh well I can edit the default skin and have started to do so but I've been having so much fun making patches for Hive that I haven't even worried about the default skin which is not hard on my eyes at all....

Yeah, I actually like the default skin - like you, though, I was excited at where satYa was going to go with it, considering his past art. ArcSyn's piece was dramatic - to me.Teksonik wrote: I haven't even worried about the default skin which is not hard on my eyes at all....

As long as it is possible to enlarge it (right click) the original skin does the job 100%
