FL studio mac version is a stone's throw from completion. I would've voted for it, but I'll say Presonus instead.
I like it because of it's super lean and hands on interface. Powerful features that are very easy to use.

The only one there that I have any experience with is Reaper, and I hated it.

I'm finding Btiwig (version 2 with all announced improvements) the best candidate for leaving Apple&Logic behind, but they managed to make me rethink that with their newest pricing model, so now I just don't know what to do, it's good, but not that good.
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

I find it easier to use either Windows only machines or Mac only machines. I don't like to have the two platforms. I like to have only one. So, on Windows Cubase is my choice, but if my machines are Mac, it would be Logic.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

My favorite DAW is Cubase (so .. I voted for it on this Poll), and I just upgraded to Cubase Pro 9 from 8.5, so far I'm very happy with it.
I also enjoy working with Presonus Studio One Pro 3. I'm hoping that S1 Pro v4 will have many improvements, especially .. more Midi features, improved CPU performance under low-latency settings, a Drum Editor, Articulation Switching in Key Editor, and much more.
Bitwig 2 will be out tomorrow, imho. it is a good DAW, but is missing some important features, especially Rewire, and Video-Track, version 2 will also offer VST3 support, which is pretty much the new VST standard, so that's a good development. Plus much more i.e. more flexible modulation system, ...etc.

Cubase for me also.
I have tried a few others but each time I return to Suzie Qbase.
9 is a huge step ahead for me. Revelation and Frequency are really impressive - Frequency with its 8 band equalisation and all its features is amongst the most tweakable eq that is available, and Revelation is a reverb that can compete with many a third party one.
These two alone are worth the upgrade for me.
Then there are several other plugins that have been updated, the history of the mix, a useful sample bank etc etc. Everything seems to work more fluently.
And of course the new sample track which allows to create really interesting instruments from a sample or a part of one, and the option to open in Groove Agent SE, which can do more than only percussion.
When using 8 and then 8.5 I was musing on changing ship, but not anymore.

It's too early to say. I've been using Cubase because of the Chord track, but I tried out Studio One recently and it is much easier to use. Oh, heck, anything is easier to use than Cubase. I think it may do a lot, but trying to find anything in that manual can be impossible. I also think the manual assumes you have been using Cubase since version 5.
So ask me towards the end of the year. Or I will vote for ProTools, because it is always my go to when I'm frustrated.
