Now I'm having the same damn problems with Reaper. FML
My computer must be possessed. I don't see how something can work perfectly and then all of a sudden barely work at all.

i really doubt anyone can recommend anything that i haven't already tried a thousand times already.
i've got an i7 processor w/ 16gb of ram. i'm using all the suggested high performance settings possible, including disabling cpu throttling.
after i mess with the computer trying to fix it the problem will go away for a while and then come right back.

I don't want to jinx it, but Reaper seems to be running smoothly again now.
I like the program so far. Totally different workflow.
I think Ableton is easier to use but that's probably because I'm used to it.
