I need a simple VST host to create standalone environments that is free?

Actually isn't Bidule beta free unless you want the plugin functionality too?

MuLab Free will happily host a small project. It can be as simple as you want it to be. If you get too complicated, it'll let you know:

Thanks, I'm a paying Mulab and Mux customer. For this, however, I really wanted something that could be setup in seconds. My Max patch worked, but, Savihost is actually more reliable and flexible. I'm using it now, it's absolutely getting the job done.

Savihost worked with my ASIO driver just fine.camsr wrote:How can Savihost be used to apply VSTs to the windows audio output? I thought that required a driver or something?
With respect to Synthedit, I spoke too soon. It's still in beta and there are really severe limitations with the current 64bit host that means it won't work for this particular need. Although, it seems that it is at least able to create 64 bit plugins now, woot!

Ok, hmm, thanks for the heads up. I had seen that some SE devs now offer x64

Yeah, I was using it to create a few things but I stopped because of the x64 thing. I'll pick that back up now and start using it again. (yeah, thanks, SM was a thinko)nix808 wrote:*SynthEdit
