Bouncing or rendering or creating sampled instruments is not freezing.

Hm-hmm, wait and see...
I wrote that very deliberately. If you would like to know exactly what is happening, please ask in Looptalk where we openly discuss development with customers.

Thanks, Scott!

Thought there was a short and easy answer.

Whats the latest news on macOS? Abandoned? Being developed? I might be in the market for a windows DAW but only if its cross platform with mac, would be great to have FL on the table too.

Nope, but it's a perfectly usable workaround.

You can create an Image-Line account and check what's happening here - https://support.image-line.com/redirect ... acOS_forum

We are very close to public beta. We have a lot of people working with the Alpha as a full-time DAW now.

Best way to update? I know once I tried to install an update into the same directory as the existing version and the installer error'd out, causing a bunch of problems.

So I'm guessing an uninstall / clean install is the best way. Should I backup all my custom plugin favourite folders? Or perhaps just install the new version clean alongside the existing version at the same time.. before commiting to uninstalling the existing one?

I need to sit down and spend more time with this.

I still cannot get my head around the way it works , used to be so straight forward.

Hopefully these changes will make the playlist easier to understand.

Hmm. with me, it is the other way around. I used to have issues with the way the pattern system was working. Now with the playlist, it works amazingly open and easy (imho).

Thats down to me, not persevering with it, I was so used to v7 when the changes came I just quit and moved to Cubase, I doubt i'll ever go back to it, because I don't like the way it works in comparison, but Id like to learn it better, so I dont get put off even opening it.

Added a new VST plugin, so needed to rescan plugins.

But scanning of plugin cache takes ages now in 12.5.

It used to be done in an instant in 12.4.
