I`m now listening on sony MDR-7505 headphones.
These phones are usually pretty true to sound.(not colored)

The bass does sound boomey.If your not hearing it there...then nothing can be done.
But,if you want to try this...you can try cutting the bass frequencies with a "high"/selective "Q" setting,at about 400hz and also roll off all the freqs after 60hz or maybe to 100hz.

Good new about that controller..didn`t know it could be altered.

Sorry to ask so many questions.

All recording is done on PC. Audio interface is a M-audio Ozone
I use tracktion to record. In that mix there is only audio recorded.
I have only one hardware effect, Alexis multi verb, wich I use mainly for live gigs but it's allso wired in my studio. Since mixing is completly new to me, I have a couple of free soft effects (Blue series and Classic series).

Just a question, would adding a bass reflex to my studio be a solution ?

Bass reflex...is a type,(ported),of cabinet design.
I believe you are asking if adding a sub woofer will help.
Yes it can.But this can be a complex situation choosing the corect specification of a sub that will "complement the solvents...and not make the overall sound worse.

Where your solvents are in the room could make them sound deficient in a range of frequencys.This is possible and worth considering their best placement for hearingmore of what is coming just from the monitors and less of what is bouncing from the walls to your ears.

If you give me the model number of the solvent,(if you didn`t post it above),I can look at them and better determine if a sub should be considered.

These will work well and introduce you to dynamic plugins.

Thanks for the link, I've downloaded the plugins.
Now I have to learn to use this.

You know that is the part that I love, learning. I've played live for years, in smal and big bands. That was easy we had someone for the sound

Now I have to do it myself

Had a peek at the monitor.
Since you are not hearing as much bass through them as you would like...and are mixing the bass too high to compensate for this...I would play a test tone sweep through them,(will send you if you don`t have),so you can balance the midrange volume ajustment more properly.(ajustment knob at rear of monitor) This will balance the bass out when set properly with sweep tone.

The bass reflex design should get you low enough to do a decent mix in the bass range.It falls off abruptly at 60hz.
Thats fine for most all audio work.

Will send sweep file later on.

I like this stuff! I love horns, so keep em comin

The drums definitely needed a nudge up in the mix. I'd like to hear it with that and mix a bit of boom out of the bass to free up some of the low end for the kick.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a mix doctor nor do I play one on TV, so take me with a grain of salt.

Thanks very much Annode, I managed to get a much better sound.
Will soon post a new mix, and this one will be right I hope

Very happy to hear that worked for you.

Changing my studio system around.
Just wiring up an alesis adat...so going from a 2 channel system to an 8 channel,is time consuming.
Had no leisure time for the new mix.
Know it`s not a big deal,but wanted to say why I didn`t do it yet.
