Here's one with BT's name right on the box. :)

The multi-convolution thing is really interesting. Though I'm guessing it's heavy on CPU for that, unless it's optimized really well.

A lot of mixed reviews on BT Phobos. I wouldn't recommend it as someone's first synth even if it was universally praised, as it is a niche synth.

Anyways, Zebra 2 or Omnisphere 2 - Omnisphere has a more extensive and eclectic sample library, so it is more versatile.

As long as by 'cinematic' you don't mean orchestral .. then you are talking Kontakt libraries such as the Heaviocity stuff, Albion One, etc.

If you're on Mac Alchemy, Alchemy, Alchemy

Now that's interesting, wasn't aware that he had endorsed a synth.

Iris 2 would be another one to mention. Oddly enough, I keep forgetting to use it in my projects, but it's great for creating all kinds of bizarre sounds that would be right at home in a film score.

You can take literally any syntheizer for that, it just got to have a wide harmonic spectrum. You also can take any synthesizer for that and harmonize it subsequently.

Zebra and absynth(or reaktor) are kinda like the standard for film

Mpowersynth is a good another option
With free updates and the recent addition of turboreverb in it for free makes it another sound design monster

Sytrus is my another fav for sound design and ambient stuff

IL harmour is great if you want to insert your image(literally) in sound like mick gordon

Serum is another option
REAPER, Phase Plant , Unfiltered Audio TRIAD and LION, NI classic collection,......... ETC
