Me too but I still don't seem to be getting them regularly - got one because I asked support about them but that's it.

Let them, man has to be paid for his hard work and I totally agree that 89$ is nothing for a plugin with this many mangling options! It's a gift not a price I love it!

If only money wasn't a thing... Will maybe not buy within the $89 sale month... :( But hey, something to dream of...
Guys at UA make really great stuff.

wow, that video sucks so bad. just under 4 minutes of some random dance track ... and we only hear the plugin like, what, 4 times maybe ? and they're tiny little snippets that are played while that friggin dance track drowns it out. I could not care less about some producers I never heard of smiling and gasping at their monitor like they've just witnessed the second coming of christ, albeit in the form of a vst.

Like, how much did this poxy video cost to produce ? Seriously ? .... I have to wonder how much of the SpecOps price tag was wasted on this lame, totally uninformative video.

anyway, here are the actual audio demos in case anyone is curious:

A bit harsh, don't you think? After all, it's a promo video (it even says "trailer", so as not to confuse the easily led). They need to sell products, and I think the video does a good job of sparking interest. If all developers just appealed to the snide armchair-coach crowd of certain sections of KVR they'd all be broke.

Nope. 4 minutes of highly produced video, and maybe 12 seconds of actual plugin sounds (drowned out by obnoxious dance track). Totally warranted, and I stand by it ... valuable feedback as far as I'm concerned. They might save themselves a considerable sum of money next time.

They could have kept everything else more or less the same, and featured far more audio of the actual plugin - and I wouldn't have a peep to say.

if it's 'snide' to expect to hear the actual plugin in the promotional material, then so be it ... and in which case they'd be better off serving the 'snide armchair' types, than the sycophantic fanboy types (who will insta-buy anyways it seems)

Well, I'm sure PA will hire you as their marketing expert any day now.

Back to interesting things.

Yeah, who cares about the video, if you can wrap your head around what this
thing is actually doing. It boggles the mind to try and take in all the levels
of audio effect that are taking place here, let alone formulate any semblance
of a plan as to what you want to do with it.

Amazing stuff...

Note if you add any other PA plugin to your account there is an additional 20% off both plugins.
HG-3 is currently on sale....

Regarding the video: it's just meant to be a quick introduction. The creation of the video had no impact on the plug-in's final price. There are other videos available, including this detailed demonstration from Todd Urban:

One of my favorite production demos is this one by KVRian Soarer:
(This should be up on the product page, but I think some wires got crossed. That will be fixed soon.)

I have no qualms with the teaser video, but the Todd Urban one was yawn inducing. You introduce the most awesome of glitch mangling devices, and what does he do with it?

Adds some slight saturation to a classical guitar sample.

Sure, like 7 minutes later things start to get real, but I bailed long before that. Less explaining, more breaking!

Video is really intruiging, but the demo was not. I felt the effect on material didnt do anything that amazing. Maybe because my initial expectation this product suppose to be some sort of sound mangler like Illformed glitch 1/2, Sugarbytes Turnado, Vengeance Glitch ect.
