Well, it´s a percentage of the retail price of your plugin and this percentage seems to vary depending on what your individual plugin retails for. I just checked in my account. Musicians 2 retails for 99$, 1 year WUP would take 7.50$. CLA76 retails for 249$, WUP is 15$. That basically means that a major version upgrade from CLA76 v9 to v10 would be 15$. Faily cheap imho (of course depending on what v10 is going to offer :ud: )
Minimum WUP is 10$ and it is capped at 300$ (if you don´t have multiple licenses of the same plugin).

They used to give away vouchers with 25% of what you spend on WUP. Right now they seem to apply those 25% right on WUP itself. I wish they would communicate their stuff in an appropriate way. Making easy things sound that complex really is kind of a marketing disaster.

I know this thread is 5 years old, but does Waves still use the same protection as 2017? I couldn't run it then because I use virtual network adapters (and still do).

If your problem is online authorisation, you can use another machine to put the licenses on a USB stick. That's how I've currently got mine authorised, because my studio machine is Win 7, and Waves Central requires Win 10. So installed Waves Central on another PC with Win 10, put the licenses on the USB stick, put the USB stick into the Win 7 PC and everything is authorised.

So if your network adapter issue means you can't use online authorisation on your studio machine, try that.

Thank you for the info, I'll try that!
