What about NI Form? From what I understand it's supposed to be well suited for Atmos-Ambient-Pad stuff and it has all kinds of modulation and effects available for mangling. In about another month or so you should be able to get it for a pretty good price.

Too many amazing third party instruments for me to ignore Kontakt, and I don’t consider myself an EDM producer by any stretch. Only a matter of time until I get Komplete.
