Thank for the suggestion. Can you maybe explain with more details what you would expect and how it would apply to PatchWork?
it was the kvraudio search engine :) , so in Reaper, when routing between tracks (audio-MIDI), you only need to select the source and destination(drag and drop), and then choose the necessary audio-MIDI channels from a dropdown menu in a pop-up window. That's exactly what Patchwork needs too, without fiddling in the menus, but obviously for connecting nodes instead of tracks.

I would move the whole menu based selection process, like in Reaper, to a dedicated window. This way, both the initial setup and later adjustments would feel more aesthetic and more centralized

And if you have plenty of time, you could even throw a wiring diagram on top of it all.
