I came up with the basic outline Saturday night, and got to thinking about what to sing. I'd wanted to do something with these lyrics since vurt posted them; however they didn't lend themselves to gentle balladry.

anyway, I started singing along to see if they'd fit..and I went to bed with it in my head. Sunday morning, Paula and the kids left to go hiking while I was left to, dare I say, cut the grass. After finishing the front lawn, I came in and drank a tall Bud very quickly, and decided to try and do the vocal in this style.

Paula must be glad she can once again see the dog when it goes out in the yard.

I cut mine last Monday ...needs it again already.

this song is not my cup of tea. the vocals at ± 1:40 for a moment remind me of a drunken Jim Morrison but that may have been in my head.

Vocal is quite a departure from the usual style. No comparisons to george harrison yet, I see.

This tune is a bit different from what I usually do. I caught a vision of Jim Morrison at the same spot you mentioned, so perhaps you're right on there. cheers!

seriously, are they too low? suggestions please. it's always hard as the vocalist, to know if they're buried too low, or whatever.
