King Crimson - The Great Deceiver (Cool how the Wetton bass give a strange simmetry with Bruford drumming on the strophes)...
A lot of Geddy Lee/Chris Squire/Mike Karn Riffs...
Tool - Schism/The Pot...

Purely cause it's one of the legendary basslines in my mind that always come to mind "White Lines"
Got to pay homage to Flea - Aeroplane is pretty much up there but personally "sing this in the car full blast" (yep count me in with hair growing where it shouldn't be club...ear hairs a bitch"
Got to be in the list....is this number E anyone?
This is going in regardless. Who needs 3 - fourdom
tons more but Ill breach there

I also like Flea, but for me it's Give it Away Now. I love the way the bassline ties everything together. Didn't like their stuff much after BSSM.
Voted KVR's resident drunk Robert Smith impersonator (thanks Frantz!)

Sexiest part of a song? Depends on the song, but yes, it's very often the bass. Sometimes it's the singer, sometimes it's the lead instrument, sometimes it's the production. In many songs, the bass is mixed too low to hear. In a great many (non-dance) songs, the bass just plays the occasional low tone now and then. Not all songs even have a bass.
Silly question, really. But hey, the rest of this topic is fun.

I love this song. Best 1 chord song evah.
Yeah. My #1 bass line all time? Think so... 'cept maybe for Barney Miller.
Good tune too.
My 3rd has to be... even if you don't like the music, ya gotta just love what a Rick brings to a tune...
