Sadly not.

Only AM Track SE works, the others either wont pass the plugin scan or are dont process any audio, depending on which host

No you have to buy separate VSTi versions unfortunately. Same with Independence. Although this is not uncommon because Studio One effects or Cubase effects don't work in other hosts either.

Yes I did wonder this myself although @VariKusBrainZ seems pretty convinced. I guess I should know although I only found out about the sale when someone posted a link on the Samplitude forum.

Yes but Presonus dont sell a VST pack of the included plugins so you wouldnt necessarily assume they are in VST format, at least I dont

In terms of midi functionality and midi editing, how does this compare to Cubase?

Yes good point. Magix should really emphasize that the VST plug-ins only work in the host,all same as Independence and that you have to buy separate licences to run them in other DAW's. I might send an email to Magix about this.

It has a piano roll editor, drum editor although it doesn't use diamonds it uses vertical stems a bit similar to the Logic hyper editor. It also has an event editor. It doesn't have midi articulation like Cubase. But personally I find it does all the things I needed it to do. I made 20 midi tutorials in Samplitude 11 although much of it is still relevant.
