I think "electronic Musician" is based here in the states.

I recently wrote about 8 tutorials and 2 full articles about synths and sampling for CM for a beginers special and i mostly used freebies (FreeAlpha, Cm101, Ds404 etc) as far as i'm aware Ronan is caught between a rock and a hard place in having to represent both camps, PC and Mac, and the fact that Synthedit is only PC rankles a bit as the Mac side of the readership is missing out big time on a lot of good freebie synths. But congrats Scuzzphut on getting a mention, its a blast seeing yer name in print...... pure dead brilliant n'at :D

I heard that I (as TenCrazy.com) got a mention (for my free MFX) in one of the mags recently, so maybe it was in that section?

Yup, i can confirm that. I think you were mentioned in both issue 5 of digital music maker And The last issue of Future Music that popped up in the USA.

you're mentioned in the 'cm interactive' page in CM75, in a reply to a 'what stutter effect should i use' letter. url for phutboyslim looks correct - scuzzphut.panicnow.net

jens wrote::oops: then CM is far better than the german mags :? :D
jaha, i second that. When i was at dave´s house i had the chance to read several issue´s of CM and FM, and as i have an abo of both german mag´s "keys" and "keyboards" i was surprised that i liked the english one´s a better.
I still like the hunmag´s .. but somehow i had the impression that the engerlishers are more up-to-date, and .. :hihi: .. spend more time in forums like these to see what us suckenbuggers really wanna see .. hrhr

I get Keyboard, Electronic Musician and EQ (all US based, I believe), but I think the European magazines are better on the whole (but not enough for me to shell out the $$ for a subscription here in the US).

By the way, about 6 months ago I sent a CD to Future Music for a review ( am sure they ripped me one good). I haven't found a magazine with the review in it.

So if anyone happens to notice a review of a CD by "Jeffrey Naness" called "Frenetic Passages", please let me know (even it its ugly)

Woo-hoo!

It's like having a tiny bit of fame, but without the side benefit of money and babes! :P

Had a recent influx of people asking for new plugins, though, so I guess I have a few fans at least. ;) That's how I got tipped off about the magazine mentions.

Anyway, I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me issue numbers or months (or even just cover features) so I could try to track them down for my narcissistic needs! :D

(I'm sure all the other freebie developers know how it is!)

July 2004, FM 150

Should be in your newsagent now.

They liked it - except for the Virtual Guitarist sounds,

Any good US mags....NO :x

EM just published thier review of the CS-80 in the last issue I looked at (about a half year late). Its just a little techy wanta-be, nothing wrong with that but it just seems outdated once you get it, the writers need to hang out here.
The armchair is more than the sum of the bastards
