He already said he is using an old demo version, which saved fully functional vsts

Post

Maybe it would be a good investment to buy a SE license, it is rather cheap actually :)
Maybe you could even charge a little bit (10 USD) for your plugin if it were 64-bit and of good quality.

Don't be so defensive, people are spoiled today, just because something is free doesn't mean people will swallow it hook, line and sinker

Yet.......
Nielzie wrote:And the 64-bit version of SE is a free update for SE users too.
Nielzie wrote: If you are using SynthEdit v1.x or whatever early version, you can update your SynthEdit to one of the latest 64-bit beta versions in which the license that you bought should work (so no demo limitations should be there) and should be able to export your plugins to 64-bit (if you're not using 32-bit 3rd party modules of course).

If you have a valid license then there should not be any demo limitations, also not in the 64-bit SE beta's. The only situation that it possibly wouldn't work is that you can't update to a newer and/or 64-bit version because a cracked SE version refuses to update (which is not the case as you say).

Exactly. :tu:

If someone wants to make money from S.E. creations (good luck with that) then they would do well to invest in the tools required to create modern plugins.

Otherwise the plugins will get lost in a sea of other free S.E. creations. The number of people who no longer use 32 bit plugins will likely continue to grow as time passes.......

He is using an old DEMO version, not full version, so no free update.

Oh I can read exactly what you wrote and the other responses as well telling you that you should be able to update your S.E. to allow saving 64 bit plugins.

I'm not putting you down I'm simply questioning why you posted the reason there won't be a 64 bit version is due to Demo limitations when in fact you're not using the demo. Makes you look less than honest and I don't like dishonest people.

It's that upsets you then that's just too damn bad.

Come on, don't be so fierce

Didn't recognize that Korg synth due to your GUI, but after searching for it on the web, I do vaguely remember the hardware.

Sorry but where does it say that ?
L-Day wrote: Now ! I dont use a cracked version, it is just an older version which has been used by thousand of free plugins in the past!
Now if he had just said "it's an older DEMO version" we wouldn't be having this conversation.

But then we're back to this........

You mean these limitations ?

http://synthedit.com/demo/

Limitations:

* Limited to 2 Audio output channels.
* Limited to 16 presets. (128 in Full Version).
* User sees 'SynthEdit' as plugin creator, not you.
* No background graphics in your plugins.
* VSTs panel works only on your machine (not others).
* 'DEMO' appears in pink over plugin control panel.
* 'Nag Screen' feature disabled.

Oh jesus...

He is talking about the limitations of having an old demo version
Its prob 3 or 4 years old.

He doesnt have a full licence, he has an old demo version that still allowed vsts to be saved fully functional.

They changed it because ppl were using it to sell vsts.... he is giving it away free, not a problem.

FYI, if you right click the gui in a blank space, it will tell you who SE is registered to, so easy to see it its cracked (which it isnt in this case)
