you haven't used z3ta or crystal or multiple reverbs in the project, have you?

Yeah, when I saw that I thought "wow, I wish I had so humble needs!" :)
I made a calculation once to find out what would be my demands for a perfect audio system, and ended up with that I need a CPU that in its architecture is equal to my Athlon 1800 XP+, but runs at 16 Ghz. I guess it´ll be there in like max 2 years, so I´m pretty happy.
I know there are people who always want more and more because it´s very important for them being able to use the newest and very complex technologies in their music, but for me it doesn´t really matter if the trumpet I´m using comes from a sample library or is physically modelled, if they sound the same.
Making music is what it´s about, but right now, with the before mentioned configuration, I can´t do much before I hit the celing, even when just using a low-on-cpu vst like hypersonic, a freebie that takes 10-15 % of the CPU, and some additional compressors and EQ´s. I´d love to fill so much more into it, but I can´t without bouncing to audio, which completely kills my creativity - then I´ll rather disable the compressors and EQ´s while the song is being written, and put em on again afterwards and increase my latency so that hopefully there won´t be too many problems.
Best Regards
