This kind of thing often happens with nicer, bigger freebies. Sites go down, downloads take forever, and/or hosting bills get high when thousands of people try to download something in a day. But it usually gets resolved in a few days, and while it doesn't look good, I don't think it does significant damage to reputations.

I was lucky yesterday and managed to download last night (even though it was a bit slow). For everyone still waiting: it's a fantastic freebie, and well worth the wait while things get sorted out. In fact, while the quality is high enough that I'm tempted to buy the full Symphonic Sketchpad, Primary Colors is probably more than enough for my basic needs (given the free vs. $299 price differential)! Still, this is a company I'm going to be keeping an eye on, and I'm particularly interested in the (somewhat cheaper) Melodics "brush pack."

I am also experiencing errors, however, and my number of downloads decreased from 5 to a sudden 3, not 4. Maybe because I did a page click-back? But, anyway, just in case we do run out of allowed number of downloads, may we just follow the recommendation in the FAQ to contact Red Room Audio to request for an additional download(s), even if this is a Freebie and not a paid-for purchase)?

The same problem here - again from Europe - initially I had 10 downloads limit but each time I clicked on the link my count would be decreased by 2 and at the same time the "502 Bad Gateway" was displayed ...

Thanks, ever-helpful NiceDragon! It's a young company and it's easily forgiven. I've spent many a witching hour babysitting deployments and it's a learning process.

By the way, while the website says that Kontakt 5.7.3 is required (and in the currently available download that is also true), that's a last minute mistake that slipped under my radar. The freebie was supposed to be made for Kontakt 5.6.8, just like our other available freebie. We will be fixing this in due time as well (gotta update the manual, website, some graphics, and even the video).
