With audio applications, not so much. The ASIO buffer and by extension the CPU is normally your bottleneck unless you're somehow managing to satuate your your storage drives bandwidth, even then as already noted you can just force your sampler to pre-load your used banks to RAM. I can't really see many viable usage scenarios where you'd see a benefit from using a RAM disk over just operating straight from SSD.
