We get stretches here where it's 35°. I'd only ever experienced that once in Montreal, in 1975, and I happened to be pitching in a baseball game. I probably lost 10 lbs. of water. Here, though, it has become a yearly experience, and it is occuring more often than it did when I moved here in 2004. 30° isn't bad, if there's a breeze, and you're in the shade. The first time I visited London, in August 2003, the temperatures were getting up to 36°-37°. I became very ill for most of the trip. Some local shop gouged my wife (who was then my girlfriend) for 35 sterling for a cheap fan.

What did Yossarian say in Catch 22?

"They're trying to kill me!"

"Who are 'they?'

"EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!"

"What if everyone thought like you?"

Just a thought, not sure it has been suggested b4, please peoples with the powers :) that means viewers of this post aussi :D
You could/ dare i say it, should have a chart in Music cafe, TOTP < (N2N 900913 )stylee, subcategories I think would be needed, overall chart topper over a period of time, wins something? With subcats also benefitting? ( I will probably win for most dramatised entry  :clown: not 8) or bringing up the rear, hot poker eternally, internally?? again  :clown: not 8))
There are the KvROsC , KvRDC ( cannot wait :) ) and the now moved KvR Mix,Remix challenges with da pryzez, maybe something could be offered, as a lot of paid hardware software is used, not by all, but by sum :)
There maybe sum that say, fanPeeps may overrun, but final decision could be on a Jury duty typa thing?

What say you??

Its just my thought for day (can't that one BEEB R4)
no , thank you ...
That's that then..
there's a monthly contest ...
it's quite well run , and thrives on active participation by entrants ...
although it may be themed at times , it's genre fluid ...
you can win things ...
Although I think competition can be a good thing, it can also cause resentment. I really think a radio station would be a good idea, no competition, just equal opportunity to get heard. Then again, I may be talking out of my ass, as I've never tuned into any of the competitions here. I've belonged to a forum where competition, with music judged by a 'panel,' caused significant backlash. I also belonged to a forum where submissions were accepted into rotation with no pressure, and it did a lot of good for the spirit of the community. Whatever. It isn't likely to happen, anyways.
