OK so level matching - I'm looking at this now
Do you want avg RMS to match at any given time?
Is it OK to bring the processed signal down to the source materials level as apposed to amplifying the source material? I ask this bringing the source material up will incur clipping errors in most cases.

Then do it the other way. No clipping please. Thank you.Nammick wrote: I ask this bringing the source material up will incur clipping errors in most cases.

OK, so my approach is to reduce gain of the processed audio to match the source material.
RMS was a little aggressive, Integrated would also be uneven if you modify the controls in realtime, so I thing short term loudness (LUFS measurement) would be the best option.

Great to hear so much info (very cool to mimic your own Neve console!) and also to hear about the planned improvements (realtime - super; didn't think it would work)! Very interesting all in all.
Keep up the good work.
BTW: The level compare feature must be for A/B-testing only, no? I mean, a point of using the plugin is that the music should get louder. I don't know a smart solution here, perhaps a Leveller button?

Blackbox 2.1.2 Released.
Now has metering so the savvy can at least A/B after output. I have also loosened the rules on saving. I now allow it with short silences so you can do comparisons.

Good news! I am waiting for a replacement computer (the old one died by drowning) and then I will try Blackbox again.
It seems to have one advantage at least over Ozone Elements and that is OE lacks a compressor.
