No not just because Mesa Boogie are from Cali but because they tend to be much hotter amps that Marshalls hence the "burn".

But anyway I'd be interested in Mesa amp models. Marshalls ?

With Audiority Blue Face and Valhalla Plate or add new free Cocoa delay sounds great. I use the BlueFace on almost anything anymore though. Not pumped but subtle. Kuassa amps sound good

Oooo that sounds like a plan...... I actually bought a vibrator for use on my guitar the other week, it is surprisingly hard to get a decent sound with it. Much easier on an acoustic. Good, that SonicCouture has done such an excellent job.

(back to plot) I did buy Caliburn at the weekend, as someone who has never got on with any of the Marshalls he has ever ownd, I wasn't expecting much, but the clean demos, sold me, more than the driven stuff. Managed to get some nice tones with my tele.

While Nothing really new. Caliburn continues with a form factor that makes it easy. I have gobs of ampsims but when I start up a jam session I reach for Vermilion......Because its guick, easy, sounds and feels great. The included cab sim is flexable enough for just about anything without flipping though countless IR files,

Calburn is all the same in a different flavor. Seems a bit more detailed than Cream. Big bold tones in on a single page.

yes, Kuassa plugins usability is unrivalled, huge thanks to standalone versions! i mean, i like FX as much as the next guy, but sometimes the experience of "firing up an amp" is great, and Kuassa amps lend themselves well to this. Vermillion in particular stands out as it has a reverb. i wish Creme and Vermillion would receive that "3rd generation modeling" makeover... a man can dream

oh btw are there any plans for Amplifikation TWO? (or an update to One?)

Yes, that would be pretty cool. There's some good sounds in ONE but it's getting a little long in the tooth now, both in UI and the sounds. Vermillion is still the gold standard for me, even though it's not an ampsim I use much, it's just it sounds amazing.

I'll be buying this later today. So nice to be able to fire this up quickly, as opposed to the bloated Amplitube. Love the JTM-45 and JCM800 (won't use the 900 much; just not my style). I agree with folks who'd like to see a Plexi added -- any chance of this happening in a future update?

About the only ampsims I haven't uninstalled are Axiom, which replaced all of the others for me -- and Vermillion, which is just a simple, toneful joy to play through.

I'm liking the raw sounds in Caliburn, but really loving the sounds in the promo videos. Any chance of y'all publishing the additional processors and settings for those? Sounds like just some reverb and delay(?) and probably compression, but I'm suspecting that there's more to them than that.

This one is an extraordinarily powerful design. My first session with this setup I had set up very little and automated next-to-nothing. Now I'm sculpting...

I had an eBow back in 1990, it was a bit wild but I got on pretty well with it. I used a 50W combo Marshall back in the day, loved it. Don't care at all for 100W, too much to overdrive that amp for my usage, it's for stage or a larger space than I ever had.

I had one around that time too, but sold it to buy a Boss HM2 I seem to remember.

How I build my lead guitar tone from scratch.

Using the new Amp in Reaper.
I'm switching - changing microphones and the position over the speaker to achieve the best result without using any additional DAW EQ and filtering. The goal is to get the best tone from the cabinet and to avoid the maxima " We will fix it later in the mix".

Learn your amp!
Move the mics around, you will hear in the video how moving the mic closer makes the guitar focused and sharp with more low end, moving farther away will reduce the overall bass response and will change the overall 3D space of the tone. You can bring the solo up in the mix or push it back just using the microphones .
