Costello will crush Audiothing's Outer Space with this, big time. Oh he will!

I don't care how many delays I got. I'm a simple man. I see Valhalla DSP, I say: "Bring dat shit to me!".

I'm really excited for this, everything Sean makes is fantastic. I own Vintage Verb and Ubermod and use them both all the time. They are such low cpu, sound amazing and automate really well.

No doubt this full featured Valhalla delay will bring something special to the table..

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Are we sure it's only a tape delay? A few weeks back, Don Gunn was posting some stuff on Instagram where Sean was over and they were testing the new plugin. Included in those teasers were some bucket-brigade delays (Memory Man Deluxe, DM-2, DM-2w, Malekko Echo 600) in addition to tape delays (2 separate Roland RE-201's and an Echoplex). My guess is that this will be more in the vein of an Echoboy/Timeline, with multiple delay types, than just a simple tape delay or emulating a Space Echo. Or at the very least, have a BBD mode and a tape mode.

Don Gunn's instagram is also highly recommended if you like squirells, studio pics, and/or pics of squirells in studios.

This is true, but how many people also own a mountain of reverbs, but still use at least one of Valhallas every day for the last how many years?
And that is not to mention, Valhalla's history of pricing.

If so I will get totally nuts
If you check out the "Valhalla Existential Crisis" thread down in their company forum, there's been hints of a 'hypothetical" delay plugin for quite a bit with some thoughts form Sean about it. I really think a multi-mode delay from Valhalla (a la the different modes Vintage Verb, Room, Plate, and Ubermod) is more likely than not.

Keep your expectations low but hopes high!

OK, did we come to the point now that such stuff gets posted on shitbook and not the devs HP ?
Ok, then I can't check it out.
I hope the finished product reaches the devs own HP at least.

I believe that Sean directly stated that this plugin will have multiple modes. A BBD is almost certainly among them. And I expect that there will be some wild possibilities there too, like golden ratio delays with diffusion to make some sweet reverb sounds.

I have full confidence that this will become my go-to delay. Sean’s plug-ins are so musical and inspiring.

yeah i've given up resisting delay plugins.
I own all of them.
i know i have a problem.
but a little bit of delay goes a long way.

I changed the post title. I had hoped it was a multi mode type delay, and not just tape. And with the history of the Valhalla reverb plugins, im sure he is leaving room for updates of new models.

One thing I would love to see on his plugs and other devs plugins, is the ability to lock/freeze any parameter and not just the standard dry/wet mix. This would help immensely in quickly tweaking presets to make your own, and auditioning different sounds while working on a specific mix.
