Okay, so I've decided to ditch Cubase and work with a demo version of Tracktion. My hatred of Cubase has again been re-affirmed and as I learn more about Trackion I'm liking it more and more. The sequencer isn't as good as Reason's in my opinion, but it's the best I've found so far so that's gotta count for something!

it looks like you should try out Orion Platinum.

Orion is easy to learn, yet very powerful.


and Orion and Reason work together rewired very well and stable.

as usual : try the demos.

Could you say me how you can sequence Orion synths/VSTi with Reason 2.5 via Rewire ?

i always sequence the Orion Synths and VSTis with Orion Sequencer as i don't like Reason Sequencer at all.

And use Reason as a Rack and sequence Reason from Orion with the MIDI out module.

AFAIK there is no way to send MIDI from the slave to the master but maybe i have not tried enough.

Hey, before you write off Cubase, did you check your monitoring options?

It's been awhile since I used Cubase, but you have like three different monitoring options & two of em introduce heavy latency..

Live 4 and Reason 2.5 here. It works great, and being able to trigger Reason from Live 4 midi clips is a godsend.... although I still think God is a c**t.
