Compensating for the (AKG K240) frequency response

Nothing wrong with 240s in the bottom end to my ears. Used them for a long time.

I do now tend to use 271s as first choice but less for freq response more for open v closed back.

No headphone is flat, no speaker is perfect (and you shouldnt mix on phones, just check the mix ideally).

Even if there was a perfectly flat response headphone/speaker nobody will be reproducing your mix on that, and everyone's ears differ as we.

Imo, no point in correcting for corrections sake. Get used to them, warts and all, and check mixes on other playback systems (from a phone and earbuds, car systems, hifi systems etc).you will notice any glaring issues with your mic and will get to know how to work on the 240s.

Play material you know through them as well and get an understanding how you hear it via the 240s.

It's all about knowing your gear not how perfectly or not it translates your mix.
