i'm lucky. i've blown < 1000$ in unnecessary software. some of these guys have spent tens of thousands! thinking that secret weapon... that special plug... will make them better. and sometimes a plug sound has made them famous! lol. its about getting comfortable.

Ghostboi you are right. But its worth to invest money in some really good studio monitors and make your work enviroment as good as possible acousticly (positioning the least) or if you are on a budget get a good monitoring headphones. Those things will help you with sound then basicly any high quality plugin.

I often get this thought in my head, "Ohh..it's on sale now. If I don't buy it now then I don't know how long I might have to wait until it will be on sale again". I keep falling for this every time. New plugs are just fun and give inspiration, and there is always something else I seem to want. It's a curse! It's GAS!

And you only need one guitar too. Acoustic. You can throw it through an amp sim if you need electric. And that amp sim better have a built in reverb because that counts as your one allowed reverb too!
