Some of those above are not free, If you are required to register first then you have paid for it just not in currency. if it is free then it is freely given without restriction or condition.
Here are some from 2 FTPs all legit licenses creative commons or free with desire for credit-

There's more than one definition of "free." Anyone who objects to registering at github.com as "payment" is just missing out on a lot of great stuff. (Especially for software developers, but that's another matter.)eLawnMust wrote: Tue Nov 28, 2023 2:41 am Some of those above are not free, If you are required to register first then you have paid for it just not in currency. if it is free then it is freely given without restriction or condition.
While in most cases it's true that "if you aren't paying, then you're the product," that's not quite the case for sites like github, which exist out of necessity due to the corporate world's dependence on open source software. That is, in this case the "product" is software developed and freely shared, on sites that are funded by major corporations, for their own benefit, but everyone benefits. One of the few cases where "The Man" really is doing us a favor, though mostly by accident.

When crap starts coming into your email after having 'registered' it ain't quite 'everyone benefits' and I am not missing anything. I have a multi-lifetime supply of SFZ most converted by myself.
It still stands that if you are pressed to do anything other than press the download button then you are paying for it, whether register or 'like me on facebook' or other nonsense that is prevailing these days that you did not see years ago.

Just a small correction: The Sforzando Mellotron was made by Plogue, Bedroom Producers Blog only announced itLaptopMusicianBlog wrote: Wed Aug 14, 2019 11:11 amI've just updated the list with your suggestions. The Fairlight Database is particularly cool, especially for musicians who produce synthwave and other 80s inspired genres quite popular nowadays.![]()
I really think the list is useful for anyone who wants to start making music without having to spend hundreds of $ on software and libraries. There's some gems there.
here is my contribution.
i made a sfz library inspired on the d50 wavetable la ssynthesis, but with new and fresh content.
750 kb uncompressed, with 42 sfz programs.
i introduce you my first synth sfz library, called metro wave.

That could be useful to replicate some D50 patches in samplers that support VA oscillators just like Shortcircuit. Interesting.pianino64 wrote: Wed Dec 27, 2023 8:51 pm hello.
