Awesome! It's great to hear KVR music that doesn't suck.
With respect to the synth bassline. I think that it works when the energy is high but not so much in the quieter part towards the end. I'd delay its re-entrance there.

One likes to preserve an element of mystery - that the mumblings might actually mean something. Or I do them in wordpad and can't be arsed correcting the spelling and formatting..

I find myself forgetting what you sung last verse or whenever, not knowing the track yet. Sometimes I want to check the context. Isn't it just text that can be read as such? Or by formatting do you mean stuff you put in for yourself that's not part of the lyrics (e.g. "Verse" "Chorus" headings etc.)? I always just copy/paste from wherever I wrote them and typos and prettiness be damned.

Hey mr Tugger, good to see that you're still around.
Your usually stellar guitar work and vocals, but on my Genelecs, which are not exactly bass-shy, the bass is sounding timid. I think it could use more oomph there.

Hehe, I tend to write a lot of stuff then put it groups which can be 'verse' or 'chorus' interchangeably, and a lot of the time while I'm doing the recording I'll change things without amending the written lyrics, so it's not always the same as what I finally sing, or would make sense to someone reading it in terms of correlating with the song!sjm wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 4:25 pmI find myself forgetting what you sung last verse or whenever, not knowing the track yet. I know everyone is different, but I've never been one for reading lyrics. I did happen to come across the lyrics of 'This Is The One' by the Stone Roses the other week, and well I never, I've been getting that bastard wrong for around 30 years...
Anyhow, I shall sort out the lyrics out for you.

I rather do think you're correct. I've approached it more as yer standard indie type mix, but it can definitely take a bit more in the bottom end (missus...) to bring out that 808 kick etc. I've added a bit of bass enhancement now, not too much that it'll stick out with other songs I do, (should be at the same link) but that sounds fuller to me.
