Oh, it does stuff. In my opinion, it does WAY, way too much. Maybe it can be tamed, but the controls don't make it easy. The default settings have no place in any CD mastering chain.

comes handy to check out radio mix.

Agree. The way longer, more silent parts are been pushed to the max is for mastering purposes far too indifferent. :( (I want a f*cking GUI ! :x Or some nice presets ...! :x :D  )

Releasing a vst without a gui, is like starting out with 2 strikes against you.

Many people will not download gui-less vsts much less use them.

I give them a chance, but have found very few keepers like the mda series

Will give this a shot tonight. :D

@ wannabe:

Sorry, using presetz is not very ... hach .... the english word for .. "sinnvoll".

Aaahhh.... :!: .. is not very sensible/clever. :uhuhuh:

"make sense", Sinn machen, verschtosch... :D
(For all the gemermans out here :
http://dict.leo.org/ comes very handy....(english > teutsch and vice versa))

anyway,

Man, this thing got hundreds of parameters to tweak.
There MUST be a way, to get it under control! :box:
And safe that as a fxb/fxp.

Ok, a tiny little WET-DRY-slider would be great step.

IMHO Energize does something that simply is not available elsewhere (at least without spending a fortune) - it makes CDs LOUD! It may not be subtle, but come on, you know how difficult it is to get CDRs to sound as LOUD as commercial releases. Energize does exactly that. Stop moaning guys! Yes, Christofer could help us out with a few presets, but for Donationware this plug in is simply outstanding.

GREAT PLUG

GREAT

This thing has a lot of potential, and I'm interested in getting to know it better eventually (ie. when I have time!).

However, as I noted in the Tracktion thread, LOUD is not always the goal of mastering. I, for one, prefer to keep my dynamics. When you look at the waveform of a 'finalized' track that has been treated with some sort of "loud" preset, you'll see pretty much a thick black line from left to right, with a few minor dips if you're lucky.

That translates into no dynamics except "loud", and will tire your ears very quickly.

No thanks!

That said, this plugin looks like it is highly capable of much more than simple loudness, and is well worth a deeper look.

I got the impression that this is a plugin designed to reveal how one's mixes will translate to radio and nothing more. It's interesting in that respect. Somehow I don't think that this is intended as a mastering plugin.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Agreed, but if you look at the signal flow, like many things it's capable of more than just that. But I digress, I agree that it's not a mastering plugin.
