My immediate reaction when I read the title was frustration. After reading some more that's still where I'm at.

I positively hate the download manager and dread having to deal with 2 managers for my plugins if I buy anything else from them now. Plus now come all the shenanigans with hiding V10 and trying to cripple it so everyone is forced to upgrade.

And as a Windows user that needs no upgrade, paying them WUP just so I don't have two versions of their computer infestation on my machine seems like ransom.

It's great to be a Mercury ex-subscriber and not get any new plugs, or really any reason to buy or rent any Waves plug ins in the future or to WUP ever again. Lesson learned, Waves is dead to me. It's only the occasional old project that I open when I remember the thousands of dollars I wasted on Waves plugs. Move along, nothing to see here.
Oh and THANKS SO MUCH FOR LETTING ME USE WAVES ON TWO COMPUTERS AT THE SAME TIME LIKE EVERY OTHER VENDOR IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. not.

doesn't seems to be a big issue on windows, and on Mac, just don't update to Catalina. (but didn't checked if V10 works on Catalina, maybe it works, it's just not supported officially, I guess)

Above said aside, unlike V10 V11 at least brings something on the table. I think I probably will upgrade at least my RenMaxx bundle.

The best thing you can do to let Waves know how you feel is not give them any more of your money. That's my approach. If you feel stuck, that you have to, then you are showing them they can do these kinds of revnue-grab things. I put my money into better companies and products now, of which there are many options.

i was one of those people who defended Waves for their WUP stuff as "not necessary" and "you only need it once every 5-6 years anyway". i take that back. Waves, fsck you.

My feelings exactly. I updated to 10 with the logic I had a good 6 years out of them and it's about time I send some money their way. Now though, 12-months later, it's a solid middle finger.

Do you mean the plugs that Waves now sells for anywhere between $1 - $30 per plug?

Although, doesn't wup last for 3 years so anyone who updated for v10 should still have valid wup's and get v11 free, no?
