Any synth capable of Hardsync with a hardsync knob and fast or slow enveloppes attached to it. Effects to taste. Phoscyon is good (amazing) for certain type of acid lines but not everything acid.

I always loved “monologue” in cubase. But my goto is usually zebra if I don’t need really heavy bass. Also some times when I do. You can do very well with free stuff. Synth 1 or noisemaker can both do killer acid lines.
