In the Performance section you can do a variety of pitch slides, so you'd combine that with a longer gate.

The thing is, these sequencers are outputting MIDI and it's up to the synth or whatever is accepting the MIDI to interpret it. So a note tie would effectively be the same as lengthening the gate in Thesys, and you couldn't truly glide on a retrigger unless the synth and patch is set up that way. That's why Thesys does the pitch slide, since it can send pitch wheel messages. However, it's still up to the synth/patch to determine just how much it slides.

However, I understand OP is looking for a workflow just as much as the end result so Thesys probably isn't a good fit.

Hey OP, You know what, I think this might be the best option. It's a nice synth, and the sequencer does indeed let you do quick 'note input recording'. There's a little button to 'drag and drop' the midi file out, which would make it super fast to drop the sequence into other tracks w/ other instruments.

I realize it's a workaround, but this is one of the better 'simple' note-input sequencers around (aside from RePro, which indeed could benefit from drag-n-drop MIDI patterns).

Riffer is good - but you cant play into it, you can only program the steps - you can set steps to be unchangeable and leave others to randomise to a note in whatever scale is set - that applies to velocity and duration as well. It does ties.
