I bit!
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Between this, Blackhole, and Breeze 2, I should be fine for my non IR reverb needs for... Ever?

Adaptiverb sounds really exciting as a alternative style reverb, except,

I bit on Hyperspace on sale, and the features I'm seeing in Adaptiverb seem to be pretty much covered in Hyperspace (with the addition of Hyperspace doing early reflections as well, so a full reverb).

What does Adaptiverb add to the mix?

Anybody purchased both that can give some depth to that comparison?

I’m a reverb addict but I consider two of my collection absolutely indispensable: FabFilter Pro-R for regular verbs and Zynaptiq Adaptiverb for everything else, from crazily lush reverberations to sheer synthesized creativity. Island plugin.

I don't get the high praise for adaptiverb at all. It's been a while since I tried but I distinctly remember that it was one of the fizziest and grainiest reverbs I had ever heard. Basically every factory preset added the same thin, metallic sheen on a sound. Maybe its strength lies in the freaky effects section, but the box tone was (imo) very unpleasant.

I would buy ValhallaShimmer or ValhallaVintageVerb over this for sure.

It’s free but if you look hard enough you can pick it up from a seller here for $44 on the buy and sell pages... :dog:
This is crazy, should be reported asap if you ask me.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why?

There are many plugins which have been made free for some time, which are sold here regularly. Seriously, it's pretty stupid to buy a free plugin here.

When a company offers a software plugin for free and doesn´t earn a single cent from it, and then someone else download and sell it, is this legitimate for you?

Re: Selling free plugins. You see them in the Marketplace all the time. People obviously use alternative email addresses to get free "for a limited time" plugins and then sell them. For example: IKM Black, Waves Berzerk, Pulsar Smasher, Arturia Plate, Eventide Quadravox.

There's a big difference between trying to sell a permanently free plugin such as Subspace, and selling a license for a plugin that was temporarily free. In the former case, I'd file it under a form of grifting and I agree that it should be reported in that case. It's taking advantage of uninformed buyers, and face it, a lot of people will naturally not know something might be free instead.

Frankly, you can't save everyone from his own stupidity. Why even buy a plugin you don't know? Just because it's called "zynaptic Subspace"? That's pretty weird. A simple Google search will reveal the cost. That's just brain dead.

Not that I think that stuff like that isn't happening. But, really. Seriously.

Adaptiverb comes boxed wit a-lo-of latency. Bear dat in mind. It dont work so good with percussion, syncopation and and even vocals: if you're fanatical abwout addin' precise amounts of pre-delay.
It'z good for sound design. But you gotst a demo you can try. So try dat and see.
It'z similar to Ozone latency in that it affects all tracks in ya session. If ya workin' on a project you gotsta disable it if for example you're recording vocals and shit like dat or dere's a workaround, gotta jump through a few hoops though

I think the guy thought it was only initially free, I pointed it out to him and he removed the plugin and thanked me for pointing it out.
I don’t think it’s worth taking further.

Although the minimum latency achievable is 4096 sample, its perfectly playable live with 'Live Mode'- below is from the manual....

ADAPTIVERB features a LIVE MODE, switchable using the little clock shaped button in the header bar. When in LIVE mode, the plugin will report zero latency to the host, and disables its internal dry path delay. As a result, the dry path is latency free, and the effect signal will be late by the amount of samples that corresponds to the combination of modules used – and, most importantly, the latency compensation of your DAW does not need to move around all other tracks. Use this mode for example if you want to play virtual instruments live, or capture a live input – or if you are using a Pre-Delay setting in the same ballpark as the plugin latency anyway (make sure to adjust the Pre Delay accordingly). Obviously, the fact that the reverb tail is late makes this mode most useful with long tails and a REVERB MIX of 100%.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

No way is it grainy. The opposite.

But the latency kills it for me.
