I had a Duron 1.3 Ghz and upgraded it to an AMD Athlon 2200+ 
D-Fusion you should pick yourself up an ECS K7S5A series MoBo. You could run you CPU at the right speed and still use the 512 Ram you currently have
plus they can be bought new for less the $50.00 these days.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ and not likely to upgrade anytime soon. It does all I need it to with plenty of overhead. Any upgrade on my system would almost require a complete rebuild anyway so I'll be putting that off as long as possible.
