Only two i like are LSR Audio's Dynamics Detail and Sonnox Envolution.reason being i find a lot of transient shapers i tried before these didn't suspend my belief that they was actually adding to the perception of their being more attack than simply just boosting the first couple of cycles a disproportionate amount.Dynamics Detail and Envolution literally sound like you played more stick on the snare to give you a real world example.i hate clicky and blocky transients with an absolute passion and that is all most of the transient shapers before these gave me
If you are looking for a freebie and don't mind 32bit i can highly rate Braindocs Enveloper which is super powerful for any kind of envelope shaping, not just transients

Elysia nvelope, XLN DS-10 (most used cause of the flexibility, sound quality and low CPU usage), NI Transient Master. ... the more flexible the device, the more you can use it with success on more complex material..

I used SPL transient designer (UAD Version), but recently discovered Ozone Neutron´s Transient Designer and like that even more.

Elysia Nvelope for sure, I tested about all the others and this was the only one I accepted

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

1. I don't know and I don't care because Transient Shaper plugins that I have are good enough even that they're are oldAutobot wrote: Tue May 19, 2020 10:31 am I'm new in the field of using transient shaper and have some questions:
1) Which Transient Shaper are state of the art in 2020?
2) Which TS do you use?
3) I never feel good to use TS on a drum-buss when I want to sculpt drums (in an non-creative) way. I would assume a TS is always better to use on single-tracks. How do you see this?
2. NI Transient Master / Cubase EnvelopeShaper (mostly single band)
3. I use them always on single tracks because I have better control that way. Fortunately, I didn't had the opportunity to use multiband shaper on Drum Bus to fix anything yet

I have just discovered Accusonus Beatformer and wow, it's incredible.

I use Audio Assault Multi Transient, and it works great. I don't use many transient designers so I don't have many references, but when I need a transient adjusted, this is the one I use. Four bands, too, which is nice.

Really like Neutron, not least because multiband. Recently, I'v found high band TS quite useful for pushing things back a bit when I don't want to darken it too much.

I like Transgressor from Boz on drums. It doesn't work as typical transient designers, i.e. it does not rely on the envelope of the signal. It is trigger-based instead, so the detector splits a signal into the attack and release parts based on the amplitude passing a threshold. Then it can apply different EQing to attack and release portions.
It's brilliant on drums.

+1sinkmusic wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 5:57 pm Don't forget Eareckon Transreckon : dead simple to use, and very efficient.
Eareckon Transreckon is my goto Transient Shaper for years now. The "Sens" and "Length" controls let you perfectly finetune how it reacts (If there is a lot of hihat bleed in your snare mic for example) .
With the "Listen" button you can hear to which parts of the signal the detector reacts.
Both the attack and the sustain stages sound very good.
I was always wondering why there is not more buzz about this plugin.
Regarding point 3: If you can access the single tracks, do the transient shaping on the single tracks.
You have much more control this way and you will get a cleaner result if that's what you're after.
If only the Stereo Drum Stem is available, a Multiband Transient shaper will give you more control.
I use Neutron 3 in this scenario.
Cheers!

For electronic music i can highly recommend the one from kilohearts. I dont like all of their effects, but the transient shaper is gold
From time to time I use the Softube Transient Shaper and Voxengo Transgainer, but the one from kilohearts is clearly my favorite.
