It really is! It's amazing that Redditers were able to piece that one together and come up with the plausible explanation they did! A little spooky too. 8)

At that point, the whole thing was too ridiculous to be anything other than a longwinded troll, it was a silly little bit of trolling back.

Anyways, point is, that meant the 'real' Babya got in touch with me. From 'direct' conversations with A.A.Fussy as a result, I got the impression that there was actually something a little bit weirder going on, in that there were two somewhat distinct 'voices' to that conversation. One did correlate with the very naive, very 'young' A.A.Fussy of the interviews etc of the time. The other felt very like it was someone else, they were much more sophisticated, and a bit sharper and, almost aggressive I'd say, though trying to do that while pretending to be that naive kid.
I think I basically came to the conclusion that there there was a second someone leveraging the whole thing for trolling while pretending to be 'helping out' a pretty naive and unsophisticated kid; that was a little bit nastier than I'd anticipated, so I basically quit there.

edit : looking at a couple of old posts, I did say as much then. Also identified the second voice as being someone in the UK, whereas Fussy was Australian.
Very interesting! I vaguely remember that someone had contacted Babya, but didn't remember the details. I thought that was how someone figured out that it was an autistic kid. Very cool of you to enlighten us with the facts! :-)

IIRC the first to suggest it was “the teach” pHz, having experience teaching autistic kids and recognizing associated behaviour.

That would explain it. Either way, all of it was just one bizarre piece of the interesting history of KVR Audio. :-)

One thing they haven't pieced together (well maybe they did but then it didn't make it into the short history) was that Milo's burial grounds where now a mall is built, used to be family property. There should be public records of ownership of that land, leading to his family name.

Adding to the mystery is that web.archive.org has no record of the website, which is a bit odd to say the least. Crawlers following links on reddit should have stumbled upon it.

Oh nevermind, back on topic...

I was thinking about that too. My suspicion is that the actual location of the actual mall in PA may have never been pointed out. Yet, there is still likely only a limited number of malls in PA, and since the location screen shot exists, it shouldn't have been too hard to go the extra step to determine the likely mall, and from there determine the property ownership, and then determine the likely name of MILO, and then dig even further..... I felt that they could have dug further as well. But oh well.... :-)

I always wondered what ever became of Milo Minderbinder.
