Make sure you're not sitting in the car before you do that, that would make it harder to sell

The 61-note keyboard features velocity and aftertouch with “deluxe-action” which is not that interesting but a wooden ribbon controller, motion recorder and 3-dimensional Morpheé pad most certainly are!

Ribbon controllers are always a lot of fun and who doesn’t want to emulate that classic CS-80 slide?

The motion recorder is something baked into the sequencer where you can push automation into the steps.

The Morpheé pad which looks an awful lot like a Touché controller is apparently “cutting-edge” and “groundbreaking”. It ties in with the new Morph feature that can move every patch between two different states combining multiple parameters. I’m very much looking forward to experiencing that in action.

They should be the same of the KayLab 88

Really, really cool synth and feature set overall.
I just wish it had poly expression/aftertouch... waiting for the Behringer CS-80 or a derived midi controller with the same keybed

Arturia sells many softsynths with poly aftertouch (and now Pigments with MPE), but not any midi controller which supports it

This looks awesome. Love the CS-80 nod.

I own the original. I've made it into a sort of bollox-poly by having the Brute midi out go into the Volca Keys. I do miss having real poly mode sometimes, but it's such a deep synth, I embrace the limited poly. I use it more as a mad sound design machine.

Post

That sounds really good. Seems competitive with other synths at that upper-mid price range. Based purely on that one video, it seems like it has a lovely, clean modern sound to it, like the Summit, P6 and Prologue, etc. Big synth, but I'm biased to having small desktop ones.

The "final" firmware for the P6 and OB-6 said to have MPE definitely needs to come out (I believe the desktop modules already support poly after touch).

Microfreak both uses and sends poly AT. It's not everyone's cup of tea as far as controllers go though :)

Yup I realized right after I wrote that.
Also as you said, too different of a concept, 2 octave capacitive keybed against an ideal 5 octaves synth-action (regular, not like Osmose) keybed with poly expression/aftertouch... I wonder when that will happen. :?

Microfreak is really nice, anyway.

I haven't bought SOS for a while, I will be getting this one...looks like quite a lot of innovation with the heart of a classic analogue beast, just my type of things.

It's up btw, 2500€

Not "that" expensive considering the monophonic Matrixbrute is €2299. I'd definitely have sold my car for one, if I had a car.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
