o i thought that the $25 vouchers were all the same, it has been for months... well...
in the bargain gossip thread, you can ask for unused vouchers.. you get them..

strange... this is one from that thread:

2022-01-25HL?923xt62uAI

identical.... it can be used... only if you didn't used it before, of course, only can be used once for an account...

EDIT: i see also a report; that someone got the same message, there is glitch in their system, it seems.
Well now i remember that I already used my $25 voucher earlier this month. I can't use my $75 voucher because right now the plugin is on sale for me at $79.99 but I can't use the voucher under $99... Anyway I can wait for a better bargain price since I already have the functiionalities covered by other plugins.

Nugen Mastercheck Pro

Call me old-fashioned but I still think a good master that is what it always has been, now with the safety to lower limiter levels and have more dynamics. I don't really see a huge point in a plugin like this - ditto "Loudness Penalty".

Unless all platforms adhered to the very same standards and formats... which they don't.

I agree. I put some effort towards exploring the possibility of a specific loundness guideline that works best for my music. I prioritized short and long term dynamics, reduced ISP risks and de-prioritized loudness. In my case I found -16 LUFS works pretty much all the time for my music. Sometimes I'll push it to -15. I don't really care to optimize my masters for the streaming source - I prefer to have the uncompressed master be as high quality as I can get and let the chips fall where they may once streaming.

100% agree.

Does Soundcloud still compress audio to 16-bit, 44.1kHz 128kbps MP3 format for streaming?

These platforms are so slow and resistant to change. Why we can enjoy 4 or 8K super high definition video but still knocking around with MP3s from the freaking 1990's on these audio platforms. And we even have to leave extra headroom on our masters to compensate for their shitty compression?

I say make the best master you can and ignore what the platforms are or are not doing. Clearly audio quality is not important to them.

One day....

- 44.1kHz, AKA Compact Disc "Redbook" standard will be dead.
- MP3s will be dead.
- 16-bit will be dead.
- You won't need to leave 1dBTP headroom for shitty platforms turning your music into compressed mush
- We'll all enjoy lossless audio and music will sound better everywhere, not just for "premium subscribers"
- The streaming platforms will have to offer lossless for no extra cost (but they will hold out as long as they can)
- They will standardize loudness (they already do, right? Not exactly, EBU R 128 is still just for broadcast)
- Digital music will finally move forward

And maybe one day Fabfilter plugins will even operate at 64-bit floating point. We can only dream....

Yes it does.

Do people find this saves a lot of time and makes a major difference?

True - I just like to preview what the song sounds like in various formats. Plus, I don't have to keep going back to the website for Loudness Penalty (I do know there is a VST).

so i bought this plugin yesterday for a good price as i had a voucher still how reliable is this one?

cause i have checked now some WAVs with -0.1 db ceiling and NONE, NOT A SINGLE track was distorting at all.... even when they are not exported with -1 True Peak.

so im wondering if this plugin is just not reliable or the -1 True Peak stuff is panic news?
